Closer to the Center of the Earth

The city of the dead is full of exhibitionists (Matthew 24:12)
Dancing in the streets in their bones (1 Corinthians 13:6)
The hounds have the scent and they're on the trail
Chase them into the cave where darkness dwells

If my sin remains I have chosen my god (Isaiah 64:7)
Choose this day who you will serve
As for me and my house
We will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15; Psalms 101:2)

From high lofty window tops you see (Isaiah 26:5)
Peering through the oil and scum (Nahum 3:7)
Praying the door is locked (2 Thessalonians 3:3; 2 Timothy 1:12)
They see the chase below through the avenue (Psalms 35:5; Job 18:18)
And you think those bones look like you (Ephesians 6:12)

The dead are all around in a state of decay (Ephesians 2:2; Colossians 3:2)
And you are safe in a secret place (Psalm 91:1)
Not of things you've earned or deserve (Ephesians 2:5; Romans 3:20)
But you have been called out of this world (1 John 2:15; 2 Corinthians 6:17)

They're walking closer to the center of the earth (Proverbs 21:16)
All along they think they're exploring the universe (Isaiah 47:12-15)
They'll never prove that God doesn't exist (Romans 1:19-22; Ezekiel 39:21)
'Cause God took away all their evidence (Hebrews 11:1; Psalms 33:8)

Overview (A Christian can look back on their life and see where they were saved from. We should give thanks daily to God who loved us so much to rescue us from this sinful world and the wages of sin which is death. We should move forward to warn others of their fate if they fail to believe God and recognize His warnings. God's warnings are in contrast to the world's. God warns us out of love.)
