Tomrrow Makes no Sense

(Matthew 26:75)

I didn't choose this face
Or this shell of skin I'm trapped in
You're not worthy to loose my shoes
You don't know where they've been

I am my own enemy (Job 15:20)
I will lie to myself (2 Corinthians 7:6)
I will talk to God
But He won't talk to me (1 Peter 5:7)

I want no sin, I want no fear (Romans 3:23)
No sting of conscience, no care of death
I want peace, not as the world gives
Tomorrow makes no sense

Only Jesus sees my heart (Psalms 139:23)
My hope is that He knows my mind (1 John 3:1-2; 1 Peter 1:18-19)
He will bring me out of this (Philippians 4:4-8)
If I can scratch the crust from my eyes (2 Corinthians 4:1-18)

Inflict my own wounds
Torture my own soul (Romans 2:9)
I choose to be the beggar
Break the bonds of my yoke (2 Corinthians 7:8-10)

Overview (Sometimes our own worst enemy is ourselves. People will live their entire lives in misery trying to find peace. The only way to true peace is through the life which Jesus Christ offers. God does not want us depressed, in fear, in doubt, afflicted, or in self-pity. Christ has made us free of the world and these feelings. Until we become absolutely dependent on God and lean not unto our own, we will always have struggles in this world.)
